Through my exploration of what technology use would look like in my school’s curricula, I originally posed the idea of blended learning to make my lessons more experiential and inclusive for students who need extra help with certain topics. As I began this task, all of the research that I had done was followed with the same conclusion, technology is helpful in learning as long as the teacher is dedicated to effective use. My engagement through this research of what does effective use mean in education lead to be less than fruitful at times. I came to understand that the study of what effective use may mean was a relatively new question. Technology in education itself is a relatively new concept and queries of making it better are even more recent. I believe this will be a topic that is added to more and more as we experience it. For now, I can only add through my own experiences and will continue to add to the research as I learn more.
